Market Samurai is the only tool I use for keyword research and competitive intelligence. It is by far the most comprehensive
application on the market. The best part about it is that it doesn’t cost a fortune and there are no monthly fees!! In fact you can actually get just the keyword research module for free – the complete application normally runs $147
Between 85% to 90% of all web site traffic comes from the search engines, through link relationships with other sites, and Social Media. But just because your site is listed in the search engines doesn’t mean that potential customers can find it.
Personalization of Search isn’t going away, it’s ony getting bigger as Google has taken the entire concept out of beta and is plunging forward. Three of the latest additions is the comment, promote and delete options for users logged in to their Google accounts while searching. I made a video to better illustrate what these three option allow you (and other users) to do in regards to manipulating how they see results, as well as how one of these might even begin to help your search results.
Have you noticed some of the personalization Google has been adding to their Search Engine Result Pages (SERP)?
Besides the new ‘sidewiki’, which we won’t discuss here, Google has added the option to add public comments to a website and have that comment show up right in the result page. As you can see in the image to the right the top arrow is pointing to a new icon after the URL, this let’s you put your own comment about that result. Below that line you can see the note “Comment by Searcher, Today” and then the actual comment. Google will use your Google account nickname on your comment post if you have one, if not then it defaults to ‘Searcher’.
