On-Page optimization instructions

First we start with a little explanation for On-Page optimization. Imagine SEO on websites like a transmitter / receiver principle. The receiver here is the page optimization. The transmitter is the Off-Page optimization. For this reason it is important to optimize the website well and align to the desired market or keyword with which you would like to earn your living.

Certainly the keyword analysis, competition and ranking analysis is at first the most important part. Without an intensive Website Analysis and a well-planned search engine optimization concept you will never be effective or successful online.

Once the initial analysis of the site is completed you can start the optimization of the website itself. In professional circles, this is referred to as onsite or on-page optimization. The goal here is, to eliminate all the weak points which are located directly on your own website. In most cases, here especially the text content must be reformulated and improved for usability. However, also other changes are necessary.

Many website owners make the big mistake and underestimate the effect of a page optimization. Often website owners believe their own website would have anyway no optimization potential in On-Oage matters, because the site is still quite new, or was created by a professional. The reality is quite different. Basically, you can always improve something right on your homepage. Even small changes often lead to significant improvements in the rankings on Google (This always depends on the competition of the keyword). One can optimize many things on a page, but I will bring it to the point. You have to actually pay attention only on certain points, these are quite sufficient to achieve the desired result.

Here On-Page Step-by-Step Guide:

Step 1: First you need to choose the right keyword.

Let’s stay with cattips.com. Is the main keyword cat tips, cat tips should make up about 1 percent of Keyword Density in a minimum of 500 words long text (the longer the text better). This means that the word cat food should not appear not more than 5 times in the text (some say the keyword density should be 3 Percent, I say it is too much). So either write a text or give it to textbroker.de or iwriter. And let it write there by pros. Pay attention to the fact that to integrate SLI words where possible. LSI, or Latent Semantic Indexing is a technology that is used by search engines like Google. The LSI keyword stands for a word area which is thematically related with your main keyword, e.g. cat food samples or cat toys etc… I’ll go into detail in the Video Tutorials and show you how to find these LSI words and how to implement them.

The keyword “cat tips” must be found the meta description, url and at least one picture on the website in the Heading, Title,.

Step 2: Keyword in the url (permalink):

Is your domain a keyword domain, for example www.cattips.com your keyword is already in the URL of your domain. Is you keyword cat food an you domain is www.cattips.com, the best way is to create a page for it e.g.: www.cattips.com/cat-food

Step 3: Keyword in Title

The page title is displayed as a blue, bold, underlined text at the top of the Google search results page.

  1. The title should not be more than 70 characters long.
  2. The keyword should appear as first for example: Title: (cat food tips and tricks)
  3. Make sure that a unique description and title are available on every page of your website. (Do not just copy and paste them, always consider the duplicate content issue, Google always wants to have unique content on every page if possible)

Step 4: Keyword in the meta description

The meta description is located in the Google search results page under the page title.

The meta description helps people to decide if you click on the result or on a search result which is above or below you .The meta description should follow these guidelines:

Not more than 150 characters

The main keyword + LSI keyword must be included, for example, Meta Description: (You get a free cat food sample at www.cattips.com.)

Step 5: Heading Tags (headlines)

The headings tags, called Headings are often neglected. Make sure that the keyword cat food appears as H1 tag. H1 Tag example: (cat food review). Pay attention that the H1 tag matches with the Meta Description and the Meta Title.

Step 6: Keyword as an image (picture)

Add images to your text in or on your website. Make sure that you name the image like the keyword. For example, name it cattips.jpg or catfood.jpg as a LSI keyword.

When it is uploaded, mark the image with an Alt tag in which is also integrated the keyword. As I said, I’ll elaborate it on in the video tutorial.

Step 7: Youtube Videos

Find yourself a suitable video on Youtube for your keyword, and put it on your website or page. (For example search in Youtube for cattips).Choose one cat tip video and copy the embed code and put it on your page).

Step 8: Internal Linking

This is a more complex issue. Basically, it means that you present your website internal links correctly. Suppose you have several sub-pages, then it is important that all these pages interlink properly with each other, so that the Page Juice flows through all subpages. As I said, I’ll elaborate on in the video tutorial.

Once the intensive website analysis and page optimization has been completed, according to the specified optimization concept with the off page optimization, also known as offsite optimization, you can begin.

Off-Page optimization include all measures which can be carried out outside the website (all external measures) in order to make the website known, and to rank it. The Off-Page optimization in this case represents the sender principle as explained before.
